About Us

Matthew is the founder of our family-friendly company. Starting off at a young age with a family history in construction and design, he graduated with two degrees in construction management from LSU in 2005, and has gained many other certifications over the years. He has over a decade of experience under his belt in commercial and residential general contracting. Matt brings a lifetime of passion to the business and is able to bring a high level of professional management and development to the lives of homeowners and business owners alike in the local community.

Melvin is the Architect for LAMP Design + Build, he has decades of extensive experience as an architect for both commercial and residential designs. He not only performs the architecture, he also assists in contacting and sharing with each customer his solid knowledge of how a project can be accomplished and brought to fruition.

Beth is our Office Manager. After graduating from Delgado as a Surgical Technologist in 2011, she went on to manage a dental practice for 6 years. With her years of experience in business management she brings a lot to the company. Whether it’s project management, creating systems and protocols, or ordering materials she is always ready to take on any task. She is key to making sure the day to day operations at LAMP Design + Build go smoothly. When Beth's not working she enjoys spending time with her family and going to the beach.

James does the Architectural Drafting for LAMP Design + Build. He graduated from Louisiana Technical College in 2006, and worked as a Project Manager and Draftsman for many years at a high end glass company. His primary responsibility is to turn a customer's dream into a reality by developing blueprints through his proficiency with AutoCAD and his familiarity with all types of residential constructions, scalings, and dimensions. In James freetime he loves building things in his shop, working in his yard, and spoiling his wife.

Freddie has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and oversees every aspect of our projects on the job site from start to finish. Due to his wealth of knowledge, he is responsible for job site materials and ensuring every employee in the field completes each task on time and correctly.

Ashly performs most of the administrative tasks that ensure our company's workflow runs smoothly. On top of overseeing administrative functions in the office, she helps to maintain financial functions such as payroll, collections, and managing/directing customer inquiries. Ashly moved from Destrehan to the Ponchatoula area after hurricane Katrina. When she's not at work she enjoys spending time with her two boys, taking them to ball practice, and restoring old furniture.
